Dr. Mangold, born in Germany, is a business magnate, investor, artist and former philanthropist. Since leaving Germany in youngest years, he is living around the world. He founded the Dr. Mangold Group in the 1980s, which controls a lot of companies in various fields.

Dr. Mangold expressed his desire to become an entrepreneur at a young age. He wanted to learn all about money and is still wondering to find out, that the system don't want young people to learn about it. His first business venture, at the age of 16, was to invest his pocket money in stocks. So he was learning by doing, about markets.

He landed, at the age of 17, his first lucky punch in the financial world by being one of the founding fathers of what is known today very well as the so called offshore financial industry.

It was his idea that his business partners, powerful international law firms, influence governments of small and mostly poor countries to make laws in advantage of wealthy clients, so that hiding and protecting wealth at that time was legally possible.

This resulted in the fact that he became a selfmade millionaire on his 18th birthday, not personally but as the beneficiary of his first hidden family foundation.

He opened a chain of investment companies since 1982. He started several hedge funds to invest only his own money and to establish and expand his labels around the world. Therefor his holding brand grew rapidly during the 1980s.

In 1992 he started his life as a privatier. Since then Dr. Mangold is focussed in art as his real passion. He is active as an artist in a wide range of different fields.

For his work in art, finance and luxury (with interests in land, air and sea), his taste for adventure and for his humanitarian work, he has become more or less a global figure but he is mostly known only by his direct clients and art collectors.

In this small and discreet world he is known very well as an economic genius and a business angel. By this inner circle he is often called a selfmade US dollar billionaire. He denies all the time being a billionaire, because he says fortune attributed to him is being held by various family foundations.

Therefor he is personally not included in the Forbes list of the world's richest people as his personal wealth cannot be assessed with much accuracy from publicly available information.
